Biography

Rajib has 28 years progressively responsible experience working on climate change, environmental sustainability (including environmental and social safeguards), development, and humanitarian response. He is currently the Global Head, Climate, Portfolio & Quality at Save the Children International. Previously, he worked with The Green Climate Fund; United Nations Development Programme; World Bank; Asian Development Bank; United Nations Office for Project Services; UNICEF; CARE; Aga Khan Foundation; Natural Resources International; Asian Forest Cooperation Organization; and Union of Concerned Scientists. He holds a Master’s in International Relations from the UK and Bachelor’s in International Studies from the US.

Rajib is an innovative professional who managed large-scale projects on climate change; resilient livelihoods; gender equality; community-driven development; and community-led disaster risk reduction. He has demonstrated his ability to address the intersectionality between climate change mitigation and adaptation actions, and worked closely with children, young people, women, Indigenous Peoples and local communities.
