We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. If you provide us with personal information through icvcm.org, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, The Integrity Council collects non-personally identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. The Integrity Council’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how The Integrity Council’s visitors use its website. From time to time, The Integrity Council may release non-personally identifying information in the aggregate, e.g. by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to icvcm.org choose to interact with icvcm.org in ways that require icvcm.org to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that WordPress.org gathers depend on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who use our forms to provide a username, email address and phone number.

In each case, The Integrity Council collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfil the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with icvcm.org does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities such as signing up to the newsletter.

All of the information that is collected on icvcm.org will be handled in accordance with GDPR legislation.

The Integrity Council discloses potentially personally identifying and personally identifying information only to those project administrators, employees, contractors, and affiliated organisations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on The Integrity Council’s behalf or to provide services available through icvcm.org, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others.

The Integrity Council will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to project administrators, employees, contractors, and affiliated organisations, as described above, icvcm.org discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, if you give permission to have your information shared, or when The Integrity Council believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of icvcm.org, third parties, or the public at large.
