Biography
Guilhem Pouillevet is a climate finance and carbon markets expert with over 20 years of experience in carbon credit methodologies, regulatory frameworks, and sustainable development mechanisms. He has a long track record as a carbon project developer, leading projects across multiple sectors and standards. He has served as a technical reviewer for VERRA and UNFCCC, a methodology expert for Article 6.4, and an advisor to the Green Climate Fund. Nominated by the French government, he contributes to the review of Biennial Transparency Reports (BTRs) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the UNFCCC. Guilhem has extensive experience supporting governments, financial institutions, and corporations in carbon markets, mitigation projects, and policy frameworks. He holds an engineering degree in chemical engineering from ESCP-E Lyon and McGill University, along with a Master’s in International Affairs.
