Biography

Cindy Kobei is a lawyer and climate justice advocate, promoting Indigenous Peoples’ rights from the Ogiek community of Kenya. Her work centers on advocacy, advancing Indigenous-led climate solutions, promoting corporate accountability in the green transition, and ensuring that climate actions respect human rights and the principle of free, prior and informed consent (FPIC). She is passionate about amplifying Indigenous voices in global climate dialogues and fostering equitable, sustainable pathways for communities.
