Biography
Charlotte is the Indigenous Peoples Engagement Officer within ICVCM, where she supports the work of the Forum and ICVCM’s work in service of Indigenous Peoples as well as local communities. Charlotte has a background in the sustainable food systems sector. Prior to joining ICVCM, she worked at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization in the Indigenous Peoples Unit, where she coordinated the drafting of several outputs relating to Indigenous Peoples’ food and knowledge systems, closely collaborating with Indigenous Youth and other key partners.
Charlotte has previously worked with Indigenous-led NGOs in India, Thailand, Kenya, and Mexico, exploring sustainable practices within Indigenous Peoples’ food systems using varied, co-created methods including storytelling. Charlotte has a PhD from the University of Cambridge, focused on the sustainable use of forests for food. Charlotte is excited to contribute to ICVCM’s vision of building a high integrity and rights-centred voluntary carbon market.
