Biography

Donald Chan is the Director Asia Pacific for ICVCM. He was previously the Managing Director Asia-Pacific for CDP, the non-profit responsible to manage the global voluntary environmental disclosure system for corporates and cities.  Donald was responsible for the region including CDP’s offices in Beijing, Tokyo, Delhi, Hong Kong, Singapore and Jakarta with over 100 staff, and doubled the number of corporate respondents between 2021 to 2023.

Prior to this role, Donald worked in investments including as Operating Partner at Temasek, as well as part of the founding and management teams at two organisations. He was the Chief Operating Officer of Clifford Capital, an infrastructure and structured finance company between 2012 and 2015, and the Head of International at Circles, a global technology company between 2016 and 2018.

Donald has also worked in roles with the Singapore and Australian governments and holds an MBA from Macquarie University, and Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney.
