Biography

Quirin is a senior project manager at INFRAS. He studied process engineering, gained practical experience as an engineer and then completed a master’s degree in atmospheric and climate sciences. This was followed by a dissertation in climate economics. As consultant he worked on the implementation and development of climate mitigation instruments in Switzerland (e.g. domestic offset projects, emission trading scheme and agreements on energy and climate objectives) and internationally (e.g. voluntary carbon market, Article 6 of Paris Agreement). He also conducted studies on mitigation costs and damages costs of greenhouse gases and helped develop climate scenarios.
