Biography
Mr. Fu Chengyu is the member of National Science and Technology Committee for Carbon Neutrality of China. He is the Vice Chair, China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations (CICPMC); Vice Chair, China Enterprise Federation (CEF) and China Entrepreneur Association (CEA); Vice Chair, Beijing International Energy Club; Chairman, CEO Alliance of CKGSB. He is the Funding Director of China International Academy for Carbon Neutrality.
He was Chairman and CEO of CNOOC, Chairman of SINOPEC, member of the 17th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of CPC and member of the 12th Standing Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a political advisory body in China. He was a member of the Board of the Trustees, The University of Southern California and The Board Member of UNGC.
He is now a professor in Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB). He is also Honorary Chairman of the UN Global Compact Network China. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Global Energy Policy, Columbia University, and member of the University Council of Shanghai Tech University.
Born in 1951 in Heilongjiang Province, China. Mr. Fu graduated from China’s Northeast Petroleum Institute in geology, and later received the master degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Southern California, USA.
