Biography

Sophie Wainwright is the Communications Manager at the Integrity Council (ICVCM). Sophie earned her MSc in Human Rights from London School of Economics and Political Science and holds an LLB in Law, with a year in Sustainability Studies from The University of Birmingham.

Previously, she held the position of Senior Sustainability Policy Advisor at the Confederation of British Industry, serving as Secretariat for the CBI’s Sustainability Community, leading the CBI’s UN Race to Zero campaign, and leading on policy relating to corporate climate action across the UK and the EU.

Prior to the CBI, Sophie spent several years working across Communications, Policy, and Campaigns in the charity sector. She has also volunteered with the Environmental Law Foundation in the UK and undertaken research positions at both McGill and the UNDP.”
