Biography

Katerina (Kate) is Head of Standards Development at the British Standards Institution. She has eight years’ experience in standards development and has managed a number of portfolios including manufacturing, mobility, and materials.

Throughout 2019-2021 she led the standardisation segment of the UK Faraday Battery Challenge to develop and codify good practice in response to pressing challenges around health and safety and environmental considerations critical to UK industry.

Kate also led the UK-China Business Environment Programme Standards Strand between 2020 and 2022, a programme funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to support the harmonization of standards and standards setting in China with international standards, and to creating a more transparent and improved business environment.
