Biography
Frank Ogallo is a communications strategist with extensive experience in development, conservation, and human rights across Africa and the Global South. He currently serves as the Senior Communications Manager – Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities at the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM), where he supports storytelling and engagement strategies that amplify community-led climate action and promote equity in global carbon markets.
Previously, Frank worked with UN Women Kenya as a Communications Analyst, spearheading national campaigns focused on women’s political participation, economic empowerment, ending gender-based violence, and advancing the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
He has also supported global programmes at the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), particularly in wildlife crime prevention and community centered conservation, and led regional communications for the Pharo Foundation, advancing access to education, health, and livelihoods across the Horn of Africa. Earlier, he worked with regional NGOs on the creative industry and youth programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa and volunteered in storytelling and learning initiatives at Kakuma refugee camp.
Frank is a children’s book author focused on climate change. He holds a degree in Risk Management and a Higher Diploma in Communications and Critical Thinking from the University of Arts London.
Outside of work, Frank enjoys basketball, traveling, and exploring creative storytelling to inspire social and environmental change.
