Tara Burke is Communications Director for the Integrity Council (ICVCM), the global governance body to set and enforce threshold quality standards for the voluntary carbon market. She has over 20 years of experience in strategic communications.
Her previous role was with the We Mean Business Coalition – a group of non-profits driving more ambition corporate climate action and public policy – as Deputy Director of Media and Campaigns. This followed two years as communications lead for the Science Based Targets initiative – a non-profit helping companies set science-based emissions reduction targets.
As a strategic communications consultant she also worked with the Science Based Targets Network, National Trust, UNICEF and Oxfam following a four year period in the communications team at the international development agency, CAFOD based first in London and then Nairobi.
