Scott Steedman is Director-General, Standards and an Executive Director of the BSI Group, where he is responsible for BSI’s activity as a global standards organisation and its role as the UK National Standards Body. He has been on the Council of the International Standards Organisation (ISO) since 2012 and was Vice President (policy) from 2017 to 2020, leading the work to develop the ISO Strategy 2030. He is responsible for the UK National Committee of the IEC and contributed to the IEC governance review and the development of the new IEC Strategic Plan. He is a former Vice President of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Institution of Civil Engineers in London.
