Louise Logan



Louise is the IPs & LCs Project Manager at ICVCM, responsible for helping to facilitate close coordination and capacity building, to enable strengthened engagement of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPs & LCs) in a high integrity Carbon Market. 

Louise is an Islander from, and based, within the coastal temperate rainforest of Scotland’s West coast. Joining with over 15 years of experience of IP & LC facilitation and advocacy within the fields of Climate Resilience, Traditional Land Management and Cultural Heritage Preservation. 

She joins ICVCM from her position as Environment Co-Lead for the Arran Island In Balance Working Group, where she has assisted Island communities in revising, responding and developing their own Local Island 10 year Plan and supporting their evaluation, consultation and response to the Scottish Governments National Islands Bill review.  

Prior to this Louise led the UK Government funded, Green Islands Project, developing GHG emission baseline assessments for the Isle of Arran and Isle of Cumbrae, producing a route map for a Just, and Nature Rich, transition to Net Zero for the community.  

Outside of work Louise enjoys walking, gathering seeds and propagating native trees, and growing and sharing food with her community.
