The Data and Infrastructure Providers Network
A Network for data and infrastructure providers operating in international Carbon Markets that provide feedback and expertise to the ICVCM
The DAIP Network
The objective of the network is to engage interested data and infrastructure providers in a transparent and fair manner to enable those entities to support and engage in the work of the ICVCM according to their specialist areas and areas of mutual interest with the ICVCM. Specific engagement with ICVCM on a particular matter will be implemented through appropriate legal agreements.
Any organisation identifying as a data or infrastructure provider working on carbon markets may apply to join the network at any time.
Joining Criteria
The Integrity Council welcomes applications from organisations that identify as data and infrastructure providers working in carbon markets. To ensure effective collaboration, applicants must demonstrate that their work aligns with the ICVCM’s mission and values, adheres to best practices, and meets due diligence requirements.
Applications are assessed against the following criteria:
Relevance of Data/Infrastructure/Operations: Applicants must operate in the market for data, intelligence, or infrastructure relating to carbon markets, including compliance, international, domestic, and voluntary markets. Relevant organisations may include those providing transaction data, ratings, market trends, or infrastructure such as exchanges and registries. Applicants should clearly outline how their work contributes to and intersects with carbon market operations.
Commitment to Best Practice and Compliance with Laws: Applicants must demonstrate adherence to best practices, including maintaining high standards of data accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality. They must comply with all applicable legal requirements, particularly around data protection and privacy laws, and provide evidence of robust systems and processes that underpin these commitments.
Alignment with the ICVCM’s Mission: Organisations are expected to clearly articulate how their operations support and align with the ICVCM’s mission to build a high-integrity voluntary carbon market that accelerates impactful climate action. This includes explaining how their work contributes to transparency, sustainability, and inclusivity in the carbon markets.
Meeting Due Diligence Requirements: Applicants will be subject to a due diligence process, which must confirm no material concerns about their operations. This includes demonstrating appropriate controls to prevent bribery, corruption, and money laundering; ensuring ethical practices (e.g., no use of child labour); and avoiding conflicts of interest. The ICVCM reserves sole discretion in evaluating these requirements to protect its mission and reputation.
